Carrie Evatz-Schipper
Founder | Nurse Practitioner | Clinical Supervisor | Lead Cosmetic Injector
Carrie has been a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurse Credentialing Center since 2013 and has helped thousands of individuals achieve their desired aesthetic results. She has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing from Madonna University. Additionally, Carrie earned certificates in basic and advanced cosmetic injection training with a nationally-renowned medical aesthetics training and certification provider — the Esthetic Skin Institute. Carrie specializes in aesthetic services including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, laser therapy, skincare, MicroNeedling, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Carrie utilizes several resources to provide the latest and safest treatments to her clients, including attending multiple continuing education conferences annually, trade groups and journals, and medical aesthetics consortiums. Carrie believes the key to her success has been to take as much time as necessary to consult with clients to truly understand their desires and to be honest with clients in achieving their desired results. Erin Evatz
RN | Clinical Manager | Cosmetic Injector
Erin has always been devoted to helping others. Volunteering has been a bit of an obsession for our Registered Nurse Injector, starting from the benevolent society in high school to Focus Hope in Detroit to helping rebuild New Orleans after Katrina devastated the area. Erin always looks for new ways to help her fellow human and plans to make an even greater impact in 2022. Erin graduated summa cum laude as a registered nurse from Lincoln Tech in West Palm Beach Florida in 2013 and never missed a semester on the dean’s list. Her first job was in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital and later transferred over to a respiratory unit at Ascension Grosse Pointe. Very quickly after being at Ascension, Erin accepted the responsibility of charge nurse and mentoring nursing students throughout her shift. In 2020 Erin took on the most important role of her career and became a flex COVID Nurse. She floated from different hospitals to assess demands and help the patients who so desperately needed it during the peak of the pandemic. In 2019, Erin completed her certifications for Aesthetics Injector and began to learn the essence of the industry by working side-by-side by with the company owner. Erin has helped build Pure Beauty & Wellness and always looks to challenge herself with cutting-edge knowledge to equip herself with the tools needed to succeed in the ever-changing aesthetic industry. Nicole Empson
Laser Specialist
Nicole Empson, Laser Specialist has worked in the medical field for the past 25 years. Primarily as a hospital employee, in a role that she loved. Nicole and her husband, Ron, bought a local Detroit company six years ago and this is when Nicole started to rethink her career path. After working your typical 9-to-5 she decided to switch career paths to help those she loves with their companies. This led her to working with the Pure Beauty team. Learning new things and helping her friend grow her company is a passion project. Nicole Is a huge animal lover. And in her spare time you can find her volunteering at Grosse Pointe Animal Shelter (GPAAS) walking her dogs, fostering dogs, dog sitting, pretty much anything dog related.
Maryana Mayse
Laser Tech | Medical Assistant
Maryana cares about inner and outer beauty/health. As a Medical Assistant, she enjoys creating more beautiful faces and providing help in services for your skin’s needs. Maryana is passionate about proper skin care and the upkeep of people’s self-esteem. After proper certification and training she is becoming our next Laser Technician; specializing in IPL, Pico, Erbium, and Laser Hair Removal. Maryana grew up in St. Clair Shores and currently resides in Grosse Pointe Park.
Elise
Licensed Esthetician
Elise is a licensed esthetician who is deeply passionate about skincare and helping others feel confident in their own skin. She believes that you can never stop learning in this industry and takes pride in continuously educating herself on various kinds of skin conditions and the latest treatments and devices available. Having personally experienced the challenges from her own skin issues, Elise knows firsthand the physical and mental toll it can take on your life. This is what drives her to stay dedicated and educated so that she can provide the best care for our clients. Beyond her passion for esthetics, Elise loves to eat healthy, stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Elise’s ultimate goal as an esthetician is to make each person feel supported and heard throughout their skincare journey, making sure they know they are never alone in their struggles.
Jackie
Patient Coordinator/Compliance Officer
You will meet Jackie’s smiling friendly face when you first sign in at our front desk. You may also chat with her on phone when you are scheduling your appointments. Please help me welcome, Jacqueline Louise to Pure Beauty & Wellness! Jackie’s official title is ‘patient coordinator’ and ‘compliance officer’. She is keeping us all in check! Jackie is a proud lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores, born and raised, as well as making a home here with her husband, Joe, and our dog, Twinkie. She finds joy in simple things such as a wagging tail, a sizzling skillet, hardcover books, and long, leisurely walks. With a love for dogs, a passion for cooking and reading, and a cherished spouse of thirty years, she embraces each day with gratitude and excitement for life’s little pleasures.
Andrew Adair, D.O.
Medical Director
Dr. Andrew D. Adair is a seasoned family physician based in Clinton Township, Michigan. Currently, he serves at Henry Ford Health System, where he has been practicing since 2007. Previously, Dr. Adair managed his own practice at North Macomb Family Practice and served as Assistant Director of the Family Practice Residency Program at Mount Clemens General Hospital.
He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University and completed a Rural Family Practice Residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Adair is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and has held several leadership roles in professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association and Michigan Osteopathic Association. His commitment to advancing family medicine is reflected in his extensive involvement in medical education and community service.
